2016 was a landmark year for us. HAN turned 50. Fifty years of guiding and developing our hospitality industry. Fifty years of nurturing our nascent industry to its position now as a key contributor to our nation’s GDP. Today, as we gear up towards Visit Nepal 2020, HAN is proud to invite you to visit Nepal and explore everything that makes us unforgettable.
Mention Nepal, and most people think of it as home to the highest mountain in the world, the place for adventure tourism and a backpacker’s paradise. But we are so much more. We are a multi ethnic, multi cultural nation and that means an extraordinarily rich culture and cuisine to explore. From the glory of our wildlife to the magnificence of our terrain, our biodiversity must be seen to be believed. Trek from the tallest mountain in the world—Everest—to the deepest gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Marvel at the splendours of our wildlife. Experience our timeless traditions and colourful festivals. We are a nation of surprises; surprises that will delight you and leave you with memories to cherish long after you are back home...and planning your next trip back.
As I assume my role as President, all of us at HAN will continue to build on the achievements of our past. We will always try to do better. And what we do and where we go will always be based on the highest standards and the best interests of our members and whom we serve. So I invite you—whether you want to know more about Nepal and our members or how to become a member—to explore our website to learn more about us and what we do; and to please let us know what we can do for you.
